It’s All About Accessories

Happy Friday!  I’m over on the Topflight blog today playing with this fun accessories from Katzelkraft exclusively sold at Topflight.

Who doesn’t love accessories? Now there are even more ways to dress up your Katzelkraft animals for pretty much any holiday.

Today I’m focusing on Halloween. My girls are getting excited about sending some fun cards to their cousins so I thought I’d use a couple Katzelkraft animal sets.

I started by stamping the cape on some Bristol Smooth paper using my Misti. Then I masked the cape, and because these stamps are rubber, I used a clear plastic sheet on top of my image to aid in placing the animals correctly. Once they were stamped I used the plastic sheet again in the Misti to help me extend the neck of the animals.

I then used my Tombow markers to color the images, adding a little sparkle maker to the cape and hat. I stamped the hat separately, colored it and then cut it out. I used a stencil brush with the dotted stencil and some distress ink. After I glues on the hat, I added some black sequins. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and was stamped in Versfine and clear heat embossed.

 My third card I used the Jungle Animal set and did the similar masking technique with my Misti. I used a Halloween stencil in for the background as well as the Halloween sentiment.

I used my marker to watercolor the Halloween and then traced it with a black pen. Once it was dry, I went over it with some glossy accents to give it a shiny look.
