The Hum of Bees

I’m over on the Topflight Stamps blog today with this beautiful set from Hobby Arts called Bee Friendly.

This set is so pretty and the sentiments are unique and there are so many ways to combine these images.

To start off, I stamped the flower in Versafine ink  and clear heat embossed it. I then used Versamark ink and stamped the honeycombs around the edges in and heat embossed with Ranger Enchanted Gold (discounted darn).

I masked my flower and used some Distress Oxides in  Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap around the edges and added a little Wild Honey to the honeycombs. I colored the flower with Windsor & Newton Watercolor markers and let it dry.

I lightly sprayed gold on the base of the card and then  stamped the bee on a separate paper and colored it up. I stamped the sentiment in the same embossing powder and added to the card  and then fussy cut the bee and used foam tape to add it as well.
