Bookmarks

Happy Friday and I hope you had a fantastic week! I’m over on the Topflight Stamps blog today with something a little different. This summer has gone too quickly and my girls go back to school next week, so I thought I would make them a couple of bookmarks for school.

I used the A+ Teacher set from For the Love of Stamps and stamped them out a couple times on a variety of paper. When stamping try to line up the tops so that they are touching so you can fold the paper over and have a mirror copy on the other side. I messed up on a couple of them. You want them to look like the yellow papers and not the pink.

Once I stamped all the images, I cut them out and scored each bookmark so that it would be easier to fold. I then ran them through my laminator and was able trim them up and fold them. Then I took my magnet sheet and stuck the adhesive side on the back of the papers.

Once the magnets were adhered to the backs, I trimmed everything down to make sure things were flush. The magnets in the inside of the bookmark are great for holding the page and don’t slip out of the book.

A student could also use a dry erase marker on the bookmarks to write any words they had trouble with or make a special note.  These were so much fun to make and I might have to make some more for the teacher once the school year begins.
