Visible Image Sketched Tulips New Release

Happy Monday! I hope you all have had the chance to check out the new Spring Release from Visible Image available for pre-order now and will be released on Feb 11th. Click here for all the gorgeous stamps, stencils, and dies in the Spring Release. Today I have a card made with several of the new items: Sketch Tulips and Transmission Glitch.

To create my card I started with a gel press print I had previously made using the Visible Image Square Route stencil and PaperArtsy Fresco paint.

I then stamped the script images included in the Sketched Tulips (one of my favorites!) in Distress Ink Squeezed Lemonade, Prize Ribbon, and Chipped Sapphire. I applied a thin layer of white gesso to mute some of the stamping and color.

I then added additional color using PaperArtsy In the Navy Infusion watercolor powders and added some additional background stamping with the squares from the Transmission Glitch set.

It looks a bit of a mess at this point, but I continued on and added some more water to the background and let it dry. I then used the script stamp and WOW! Embossing in Golden Vintage Lace to lighten the background a bit.

I stamped the tulip on a separate paper and colored it with Zig Real Color Brushmarkers and fussy cut it out to attach to my background with foam tape.

I added the sentiment from the Visible Image Smile Bigger set in black Versafine ink to finish my card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!
