Embossing on Black Cardstock

Happy Thursday! I’m over at the Topflight Stamps Blog today playing with some black cardstock, PaperArtsy stamps and embossing powders from Emerald Creek.

I played with this set from PaperArtsy and love all the different sized medallions and designs.

I started out by stamping and embossing each medallion separately with a variety of Emerald Creek Embossing Powders. These powders are so fun to play with and you can also layer the different colors together.

The top medallion was embossed with Patina Oxide which is an awesome mixture of copper and teal.

For the bottom left medallion, I used Midnight Magic and added Kiss the Fairy on top to give it a pinkish tint. Aren’t these colors fun? On the corners I used Deep Sea for a lighter blue.

I love the look they have on the black cardstock and add a kind of dreamy feel which is how I also picked this sentiment from Visible Image. I used Versafine ink and masked off the bottom part of the sentiment and clear heat embossed it. Then I stamped the bottom part of the sentiment with the Patina Oxide to give it a dreamy look.
