The Flower Challenge #68

It;s May which means two thing . . . 1) school is almost out (yeah for summer break) and 2) time for a new challenge over at The Flower Challenge! This is the challenge that celebrates cards using floral images and our challenge for May is …

It would be great if you could add our cue card above when entering our challenge.Of course, most of all….have fun! So this month we would like to see you ‘Use a Number’ on your cards, as well as the usual FLOWERS of course too. If in any doubt see the examples made by our talented Design Team below!

Our Guest Designer this month is the fabulous Kailash go check out her Instagram to see her beautiful card.

Now on to my card. I’ve been playing more with mixed media and decided to incorporate numbers in my background.

I had a fun ledger page printed and decided to use it for my background. I used PaperArtsy Fresco Acrylics with my brayer and lightly applied the paints around my background. I then used the Visible Image Count Me In stencil and used Pea Coat fresco paint to sponge through the stencil. While my background was drying I stamped my daisy in my MISTI.

I then colored it up with colored pencils and restamped the image with black Versa Clair ink and clear heat embossed it.

I then fussy cut out the image and added it to my card. I added some yellow Stabilo pencil and drew a frame around my card.

I colored a scratch piece of paper with the same yellow pencils and added the sentiment to compete my card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a chance to play with us this month. Don’t forget to check out the Design Teams beautiful card. Have a wonderful day!

  3. Absolutely beautiful, the colouring of that flower so vibrant and then the trim in the same colour, just enough to highlight the flower itself. Hugs Aileen
