The Flower Challenge Reminder

We are mid way through December which means it is time for the reminder post for The Flower Challenge. This month the challenge is:

I don’t know about you but things are pretty busy getting everything ready for Christmas. I always find it helpful to find a big blossom to color up to help me relax. For my card today, I used The Ton’s Poinsettia Close Up. I had stamped and embossed this big blossom and watercolored it up in blue.

Once my image was dry, my daughter accidentally spilled a nit of water on the petals. Instead of throwing out the image, I took out some blue colored pencils and added additional shading around my flowers.

To play up the water splatters, I used some clear droplets to areas on my card. I then added a gold die as some gold embossing for my sentiment. Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to check out the design team’s beautiful creations!
