He is Risen

Happy Wednesday! I’m over on the Crackerbox & Suzy Stamp blog quick and pretty Easter card using Cross with Heart and the beautiful sentiment He is Risen.

I love both the ornate look of this cross and the sentiment. To make the card I used my gel press with Lavinia Dye Inks and a brayer. I pulled up the print from the gel press and was left with a pretty yellow and blue print.
 

I stamped the cross on another paper that I had pulled a similar print from and embossed it with Emerald Creek Dead Sea Embossing. I used my WOW! Embossing pen and colored in the details and used Gold Sparkle embossing powder to add some shine. I fussy cut the cross out and added it to the card base with foam tape.

I finished my card with the He is Risen sentiment and embossed it in the same Gold Sparkle. There you have it a quick and easy Easter card. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your week and Easter!
