There’s No Place Like Home

Happy Monday! Today I’m playing with this fun Oz Dorothy & Toto set from Visible Image.

I was at the Creativation Trade Show last week and it was so fun but it was also nice to get back to my comfortable home and family. I love the sentiment in this set and thought it would make a fun welcome home card.

I started by stamping my image with some Black Amalagam ink and using Zig Clean Color Markers to water color her. I’ve been taking the Online Card Class – The Coloring Challenge Road Trip by Kathy Racoosin and trying to incorporate her wonderful tips into my coloring. After I was done watercoloring, I added some additional details with colored pencils and some shadows with my gray Copics.

When I was finished coloring, I masked my image and used the Visible Image Fibres Stencil with Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire.

I stamped the house image with the same black ink and added a little gray Copic shading to it as well.

I stamped the sentiment on black card stock and white heat embossed it and placed on the card with foam tape. To finish up my card, I added some sparkle pen to Dorothy’s shoes and a little Glossy Accents for shine.
