Friendly Shrooms

Happy fall Friday. It finally got cold here in Houston and by cold I mean 60 degrees. Its funny to see everyone scrambling for warm clothes and I still have to try to convince my 8 year old the time for wearing shorts may be over for the year. Well maybe, we’ll see what next week brings. Lol

I’m over at the Topflight Stamp Blog today with a fun mushroom card from That’s Crafty – Melina Dahl. I love this cute set and there are so many different sentiments you can pair with these fanciful mushrooms.

I decided to make this card more of a cozy sunset scene and love how the watercolors turned out on these fanciful mushrooms! I started out by stamping the image on watercolor paper using Versafine ink and clear heat embossing it. Then I pulled out my Daniel Smith watercolors and just played around.

 I love all the fun details this stamp set had and all the cute house embellishments. Once the paint was dry I added some Clear Nuvo Drops.

The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti and I love the writing. I stamped it in Versafine ink and also clear heat embossed it. I used foam tape to adhere the scene to the card base.
