Sparkle & Shine

It’s time for another fun Flower Challenge and this month the challenge is to Add Sparkle. This one is so much fun and there are so many great products to add shine to your card!

The Flower Challenge is also celebrating its 2nd Birthday too and so we have an awesome prize for the winner of the challenge – $20 gift certificate from Topflight Stamps! I started by stamping the flowers from Carabelle Studio in Versamark ink and then heat embossing them with Emerald Creek Kiss the Fairy embossing powder. This powder is so pretty and has a pink shine to it that I thought it would be perfect for shimmery card.

I then took some pink shimmer sprays and used them to water color the flowers. Once they were dry I used a green shimmer spray for the background. It was a little bright so I added so blue shimmer spray and pulled the color down to give the background a wash look.

Once the background was dry, I added some gold spray. I used foam tape to adhere the  the back to the card stock. I heat embossed the sentiment and also adhered it with foam tape.

Here is a close up of the shimmer, its so hard to get a good picture that reflects the shine.
