Gel Printing and Embossing

Happy Friday! I hope your week went well. Today, I’m over on the Topflight Stamps blog playing with the Carabelle Studio Postcard and some gel press prints I had saved in my stash. I also am using embossing powders to add texture and shine to my cards.

 For my first card I used embossing ink to stamp the Postcard image on the Distress Oxide gel print. I used the Sunflower WOW! Embossing Powder part of the Parc Floral set to heat emboss the image.

I used the Carabelle Texture 3 Stencil and applied embossing ink with a blending tool to add some WOW! Curacao embossing power for green texture look.

I stamped the Carabelle Butterfly Letter with Blue Jean Distress Oxide ink and then added the Curacao embossing power. I took a small blending tool and added Antique Linen Distress Ink to the butterfly. I propped the butterfly up with foam tape.

I stamped the Darkroom Door Dream Big Sentiment Strip and cut it into pieces to use on all of my cards.

I created the other two cards in a similar way using gel prints I had previously made. This print had some blues, purples, and pinks.

I stamped the Postcard image in black Archival Ink and used the same stencil to add embossing ink to my card. For this card I used Antique Linen Distress Glaze for a fun texture and a pop of yellow color.

I finished the card with a little white acrylic paint and the Darkroom Door sentiment.

For my last card, I decided to create a more masculine look with Walnut Stain and Broken China Distress Glaze.

I love the different looks the embossing powders give the cards and the colors they highlight.
