Darkroom Door Old Classic

Happy Friday! Today I’m over on the Topflight Stamps blog with a birthday card I made for my husband’s 50th. I can’t believe how old we are getting lol.

I love the Classic Car Vol 2 set from Darkroom Door and this sentiment is perfect for a 50th birthday!

To start out, I created the background using Distress Ink in Blueprint Sketch, Squeezed Lemonade, and Lucky Clover. I took the ink and smooshed it on my craft mat and add a fine mist to the ink. I proceeded to pick up the ink with my paper, drying between layers, until I got the look I wanted. I then too the Number Medley set and randomly stamped the number images on my background with black Archival ink. Since it was my husband’s 50th, I added a “0” in black pen next to the “No. 5” to make “No. 50”. lol

I added texture paste through the Visible Image Count Me In Stencil for some additional numbers. Once my background was dry, I attached the car with an action wobble for a little more fun.
