Grumpy Penguins

Happy Black Friday! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving (if you are from the U.S.) and have had a chance to catch some great Black Friday deals. Today I’m using the Katzelkraft Grumpy Penguins set. These guys are so fun and I love their expressions!

There are so many fun ways you can use this set and I might have to make a birthday card with them as well.

I started by stamping my penguins on Copic friendly paper with Copic friendly ink. I colored them up with a little C000, C0, C01, C03 and then added some blues to the background. Once my images were colored, I used my MISTI to restamp the images in Versfine ink and clear heat emboss them to give the black a bit of shine.

I had to dress my penguins up a little too so added hats colored with some red Copics from the Katzelkraft Les Drôles D’Accessoires. I used a Mirror Image Rubber to flip the hat in the other direction.

I cut the hats and bow and used glued them to the penguins. I finished with Red Tinsel Embossing Powder for the sentiment.
