Healing Takes Time

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and if you were in the U.S. that your Thanksgiving was filled with lots of yummy food. I also hope you had lots of luck finding some great deals on Black Friday! Visible Image is also having a sale so go check them out as well.

Today I’m using the Don’t Judge set from Visible Image to make a card using Distress Oxides and watercolor pens.

I started by stamping the person and heart in Versafine ink and clean heat embossing it.  I then used Windsor Newton Watercolor pens to color in the image. I wanted to create a blacker image on the person being healed with a heart of color. I wanted to create a lighter part for the heart so just added more water to the image in a heart shape. I also added some sparkle pen to the middle to help it shine

I then used a stencil I created out of plastic and an rectangular die to blend Tattered Rose Distress Oxide  and a little Black Soot Distress Oxide on the edges.

I stamped the sentiment on black paper using white heat embossing. I really love the sentiments in this set and it speaks to anyone who may be going through a rough time.
