Silver Embossing

It’s time for the reminder post for The Flower Challenge and this month we are focusing on Embossing and Altenew is a sponsor so check out the details here.

Here is the card I made using some beautiful Altenew stamps and dies.

First, I created the background using Versamark ink to stamp the Rustic Linen background on a light gray cardstock and then heat embossed it in silver. I love the texture it gives the card.

Next, I stamped the flower and leaves and embossed them with the same silver on watercolor paper. I used some left over paint I had mixed in my palette to paint the flowers and leaves.

I wanted to add a little extra embossing to my card, so I used the Fine Frame Circles and die cut them on Neenah cardstock. I smooshed the die cut on the Versamark ink and then heat embossed the circles with the same embossing powder.

I arranged the circles on the background and then used some Press’n Seal Food Wrap on the die cuts in order to flip them over and apply liquid glue. Once they were glued down, I used foam tape for the leaves and flower. I heat embossed the sentiment on navy cardstock that matched the back and also adhered it with foam tape. To finish the card, I added a couple clear sequins for sparkle.
