Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a fun and colorful inspiration piece I created for the Design Team using the Visible Image Dorothy & Toto set along with the vibrant Go Girl Shimmer Magical Shakers from Lindy’s.
This one was pure joy to make! I started with a sheet of watercolor paper and sprinkled on the Go Girl colors, letting the pigments dance and blend as I moved them around with water. Every time I use these shakers, I’m amazed at how effortlessly they create such unique, rainbow-bright backgrounds—it feels a little like magic in a bottle. 🌈💦
While the background dried, I stamped Dorothy’s iconic red shoes using Lavinia ink and then added clear heat embossing for that irresistible glossy shine. (Because ruby slippers should always sparkle, right? 👠✨)
For Dorothy herself, I kept the rainbow theme going—watercoloring her dress with the same Shimmer Magicals and adding a touch of warm brown for her hair. I love how the shakers tie everything together with their shimmer and depth.
This project was such a fun reminder that sometimes the best thing you can do is just play with color and let it take you “over the rainbow.” 🌈
