A Colorful Halloween Card with Gel Press Magic

Hello friends! 👋 I hope you’re all doing well and feeling the Halloween spirit creeping in! Can you believe we’re already in the middle of September? The holidays are right around the corner, and today I have a colorful Halloween card to share with you that I made using the Visible Image Happy Halloween set along with some fun gel press prints.

I absolutely love how fast and easy this project was to create. I started by pulling out one of my gel press prints, which I had made earlier using PaperArtsy Fresco Chalk Paints in the shades Firebird, Peach Nectar, and Tango. These colors created a fiery, autumn-inspired background that just screams “Halloween!”

For the focal point, I stamped the Jack-o’-lantern image with black Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and gave it a shiny finish with some clear heat embossing. The embossing really makes the Jack-o’-lantern pop against the background.

To mix things up, I grabbed another gel press print I had stashed away. This one was made with Purple Majesty and Cerise paint—perfect for a Halloween palette! I added a touch of gold paint here and there, just randomly spreading it to create some subtle textures and shimmer. The extra sparkle is a fun way to add a bit of magic to the design.

Next, I stamped the sentiments and white heat-embossing them for an extra bold effect. After that, I cut out the Jack-o’-lantern image and attached it to the base, making sure everything was aligned just right.

And there you have it! A quick, fun, and colorful Halloween card perfect for a friend. It came together so smoothly, and I’m really happy with how vibrant the final result looks. 🎃
