Sunflower Power Embossing

I’m over at the Topflight Stamps Blog with a little something different than my usual card. Today I’m experimenting with a bunch of products to make a colorful board for my craft room.

I used the AALL & Create – #77 – Sunflower Power stencil to create a picture using alcohol ink and embossing paste and powder. I love how large this stencil is and that it was big enough to cover most of my 8×10 Ranger Alcohol Ink Hard Core Art Panel.

I started with the panel and applied embossing paste to the stencil. Once the paste dried, I then got out my alcohol inks and played around with them until I got a look I liked.

I liked the look but wanted a little more dimension on my project, so I used Ranger Emboss Dauber and added Emerald Creek Embossing Powder in Kiss of the Fairy, Midnight Magic, and Patina Oxide to the project. I love the shine and texture it gave the board, especially the Patina.

I had a couple of spare embellishments in my stash. I added the Emboss It and embossing powder to them so they would fir in with the background and attached them with hot glue.

To finish the project I used a as some ribbon in my stash and added another embossed trinket and a white heat embossed sentiment from Visible Image.

Here is the final project in my craft room. I love how it brightens up the room!
