Today I’m over at the Topflight blog. I hope you had a wonderful New Year’s celebration and all is going well with your New Year’s resolutions!
Today I have a bright birthday card, perfect for the new year!

I started by using a stencil from AALL & Create with some gold glitter paste on white card stock. I love the thickness of this stencil and the ornate pattern it has. I was a little disappointed in my Nuvo glitter paste that seems to have dried up, but this BoBunny glitter paste, which I’ve had for at least two years, did the job perfectly.
While my background was drying, I stamped the flowers on Copic friendly paper and started coloring them. I for the petals I used, RV19, RV21, RV23, and RV25. The green was a combo of G00, G03, and G05. After I finished coloring, I retraced the images in black pen.
I then fussy cut the flowers out and added a vellum die cut I had in my stash as a frame. I used some glue dots on the flower to raise them up a bit. The sentiment, from Pinkfresh Studios is perfect for a glittery card and is stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed. I attached the sentiment with foam tape tape for some added dimension.
There is my brilliant birthday card! Thanks for stopping by and I hope the rest of your week goes well!
