I love blues so I thought I would make a card using that color palette with the Reverse Confetti Pattern Blocks stamp and die. My first attempt was actually hijacked by my four year old who thought she would add her blue color preferences to the my creation.

Here is the card that was kept out of four year old hands.

I started by running a sheet of Bristol Smooth through my die cut machine with the RC Diamond Stripe Square die and then stamped the Inkon3 Fade Out Ink. Then I pulled out all my blue Zigs and started watercoloring the panel. I then cut a card base from RC Navy cardstock and used RC Aqua for the panel. I heat embossed the hello and added gel pen and sequins.

Of course, I couldn’t just stop at one card, so I made a couple others. For my second card I did the same thing but I used Copics. The lightest blue doesn’t really show up in the background well.

For my third cards, since it is so hard to waste paper, I used the negative parts of the die and some Windsor Newton Watercolor Markers. I used the die cut to make sure I had everything in the right spot. This technically isn’t monochromatic but I had to use those pretty navy cardstock pieces.

Here is a look at all of my cards.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your card in this fun challenge!

  1. It interesting to see how the different coloring mediums give a totally different look to the flowery panel, Erika. Beautiful cards.

  2. Gorgeous cards again Ericka! The bright blue is so striking and great stamping too. Shame your daughter decided to ‘enhance’ your card but maybe she is going to be a super card maker just like her mama 😀 , hugs Viv xx

  3. I love the beautiful shades of blue on your card Erika, I was going to use blue also but found some snippets and the sentiment on my “leftovers box” so I changed my mind and went with pink.
Love how the die frames your beautiful flowers perfectly, all 3 designs are amazing.
    Hugs.
