Can you ever have too much coffee. Well . . . maybe, but its just so darn good. I’m playing along with the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and this is my 2nd card.
I saw a technique on Jennifer McGuire’s site about using sentiments as a background. You can check out her post here. I realized that over the last year, I’ve collected a number of coffee stamp sets, and decided that creating a background with them would be perfect. I used a variety of sets from Verve Stamp and Sugar Pea Designs.
I used my Misti and organized the sentiments starting in the corner working my way out. I stamped the words on Bristol Smooth in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed it with Brutus Monroe Alabaster Embossing Powder.
I then took my Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, and Salty Ocean and blended them onto the page. To finish, I used my Simon Says Rectangle die and the sentiment from The Verve’s Typewriter Coffee, clear heat embossed it on some yellow card stock.
SUPER gorgeous colors!!

Wow, you create some beautiful backgrounds, they hardly need anything else.
That sentiment is more than enough. Very happy card.
