Hello crafty friends! This week the Topflight design team is focusing on tags, and I jumped right in because I love making small pieces of art that pack a punch.

I pulled out the PaperArtsy Kate Crane 017 set and knew the gnomes were perfect for a cheerful Christmas project. I stamped and white heat-embossed the gnomes, then reached for my Lindy’s Gang sprays in the Victorian Bouquet Shimmer set. The bright and jewel-tone colors worked beautifully on the embossed images.

After spraying, I pressed a second sheet of watercolor paper into the overspray. It picked up the extra color and gave me a coordinating background for each tag.

Once the backgrounds were dry, I added texture with the PaperArtsy Tracy Scott Mini 33 stamp and a touch of gold embossing. From there, it was simple. I attached the gnomes, punched a hole at the top, and finished each piece as a quick, colorful gift tag ready for Christmas wrapping.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Happy creating!
