Lindy’s Gang June Color Challenge

Hello friends!
Happy June! 🌞 I hope your summer is off to a bright, creative start—whether that means morning coffee on the patio, long evening walks, or sneaking in some craft time while the kids chase fireflies.

This month, I’m joining in on the June Color Challenge over on the Lindy’s Gang Facebook page, and as always, the mood board did not disappoint! These challenges are like a personal invitation to dig into my stash, experiment, and let color lead the way—and that’s exactly what I did for this card.

Here is the card I made for this month’s challenge.

🎨 The Color Palette:

The combo this month is soft, vintage, and sun-kissed—with romantic blush tones and shimmery warmth. I reached for three of my favorite Lindy’s sprays:

Blushing Polar Bear
Café au Lait
Gossamer Gold Moon Shadow Mist

🌟 Texture Time:

With the background set, it was time to add some drama and depth. I pulled out the PaperArtsy Kate Crane PS427 stencil and applied texture paste through it. Before the paste dried, I sprinkled Lindy’s Gnome Berry Bordeaux Embossing Powder over the top—then heated it up to melt. If you haven’t tried this technique, it’s a must. You get this beautifully raised, glossy texture that feels almost magical when the light hits it.

🐶 The Finishing Touch:

Every card needs a focal point—and mine came in the form of the cutest little pup from Art House Whimsy. I printed and fussy cut him out, then popped him up with foam tape to give him some playful dimension. To finish it off, I reached for my trusty label maker and added a simple sentiment that keeps the focus on the art and emotion.
