Holiday Sparkle: A Lindy’s Gang December Challenge Tag

Hello friends, and Happy December! 🎄

The holiday season is in full swing, and with it comes the excitement of a new Lindy’s Gang Facebook Challenge! This month, we’re diving into the shimmer and magic of Fairy Fluff, which pairs beautifully with the flat sprays like Tres Chic. Today, I’m sharing a festive Christmas tag I created as inspiration for this challenge, packed with layers, shimmer, and a touch of vintage charm.

Creating the Tag

Step 1: Prepping the Base

To start, I coated my tag with a layer of white gesso. This base not only brightens the colors but also ensures a smoother application of all the beautiful layers to come. Once the gesso dried, I used the Visible Image Let It Snow stamp to add delicate snowflakes, heat embossing them with Lindy’s Gang Cafe Au Lait embossing powder for a warm, glowy effect.

Step 2: Adding Color

Next, I painted the tag with Tres Chic sprays in the stunning shades of C’est la Vie Cerise, Chateau Rose, and Merci Beaucoup. These soft, elegant colors blended seamlessly, creating a dreamy holiday palette. After the first layer dried, I deepened certain areas with more color and added a touch of Distress Oxide in Walnut Stain for a vintage vibe.

Step 3: A Sprinkle of Magic

Here’s where the magic happens! I generously sprayed the tag with Fairy Fluff, adding just the right amount of shimmer and sparkle. The Fairy Fluff not only enhanced the glow but also softened the Walnut Stain, creating a beautifully blended, vintage finish.

Step 4: Focal Point and Finishing Touches

For the focal point, I chose a whimsical printable from Art House Whimsy. I cut out the design, embossed the edges for added texture, and adhered it to the tag using foam tape for dimension. To tie it all together, I added a sentiment strip from Creative Expression, blending it with a touch of Walnut Stain for harmony.

I love how this tag turned out—the combination of shimmer, warm colors, and vintage details makes it perfect for the season.
