Hello, creative friends! It’s Ericka and today I’m sharing a whimsical fairy journal page that’s bursting with vibrant colors and fairy-tale magic. For this project, I turned to one of my absolute favorites—the Victorian Bouquet Magical Set from Lindy’s Gang and my trusty Gel Press Plate. The color palette in this set is dreamy and full of life, making it perfect for creating an enchanting fairy scene.
I had so much fun experimenting with my supplies, especially adding these gorgeous colors to my gel press to create the background. Let me walk you through the process so you can make some magic of your own!

The Process
1) Sprinkling the Magic on the Gel Press
I began by selecting colors from the Victorian Bouquet set for my background, and these shades couldn’t have been more perfect: Lucky Shamrock Green, Hydrangea Blue, Sweet Violet Purple Teal, and a touch of Ramblin’ Rose Pink. I lightly sprinkled the powders onto my gel press and spritzed it with water. The colors danced and blended beautifully as I pressed the paper into it. The result was a vibrant, intense background that looked like a burst of magical energy—exactly what I wanted for my fairy page! While this one dried, I kept experimenting with more colors to build up my stash of colorful backgrounds.

2) Stamping the Fairy Scene
Once the background was dry, it was time to bring my fairy world to life. I used a selection of Lavinia Stamps and stamped various fairy silhouettes and forest scenes onto the page using a range of Versafine Clair inks. The deep, rich tones of these inks worked perfectly with the bold background, making the images stand out beautifully.

3) Adding Highlights with Gel and Posca Pens (Optional)
To give the stamped images a little extra glow, I added highlights with gel pens and Posca pens. This step is optional, but it’s one of my favorite ways to add depth and a bit of sparkle to my projects. The tiny glimmers really make the fairies look like they’re dancing in the moonlight!

4)Adding Shine with Shimmer Sprays
For extra shimmer, I added some Fairy Fluff and Magnolia Magenta Gold Shimmer Spray to my page by opening the bottle and flicking the end on my page.

5)Framing the Magic
For a final touch, I hand-drew a whimsical frame around the scene to pull everything together. This simple border adds a personal, artistic touch and helps ground the entire design.
I absolutely love how this fairy page turned out! The bright and bold colors from the Victorian Bouquet Magical Set created such an enchanting backdrop for the fairy scene. And the best part? This technique is so versatile, you can use it for all sorts of mystical projects.
If you’re looking to create a magical project with rich, vibrant color, grab your Lindy’s Gang powders and start experimenting. The possibilities are endless!
Thanks for joining me today and I hope this inspires you to create your own whimsical journal pages!
Happy crafting, and may your day be filled with magic!
