Lindy’s Gang August Color Challenge

Hello friends! I hope you are enjoying the last weeks of summer. It’s August which means it is time for a new Lindy’s Gang FB Color Challenge. This month we are using Mountain Meadows and Botanicals.

I love both and it was hard to decide what type of project I wanted to create. Anyone else have a stash of supplies I have bought and haven’t had a chance to use yet. After sifting through some items, I finally decided on the Altenew Peony Sunshine Embossing Folder.

I love this big bloom and had fun watercoloring it up. First I took a piece of watercolor paper and sprayed both sides with water. I then took my embossing folder and ran it through my Big Shot. It embossed perfectly and I then set to work painting it up.

I used the Wild Rose Rouge to color up my flower. I first added a layer of water and then added my color to the darkest part of the flower. I then used Mountain Meadow Green for the leaves.

Once my flower was dry I added the Stormy Sky to my background. Again I added the color closest to the flower and puled it out with a wet paint brush.

I finished my card by adding the Altenew Sweet Sentiments.
