Hello friends. Today I am playing along with the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge and creating a card for The Cards for Cubs.
I love this color combo and used the Altenew Alcohol Markers in Snapdragon, Burnt Red, and Nimbus with the Build A Garden Pristine Peonies set.

I started by stamping the peonies in Black Permanent Ink and then used the Mystic Garden and Beach Garden Alcohol Marker sets to color up the image. When coloring with alcohol markers, I pick 3 to 4 shades that work well together. I always start with the lightest color and work my way to the darkest and then I work backwards ending with the lightest shade.

Once I was done coloring up the flower, I added some shadowing with colored pencils and then added some Altenew metallic thread for a little sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a chance to play along with the Altenew April Challenge.
