Lindy’s Gang September Color Challenge

Hello friends! Today I have my Lindy’s Gang inspiration post for the September Color Challenge. The challenge this month is 3D Ingredient. I’m not going to lie, this was a little “challenging” to me as I normally work on paper.

I had bought this large S awhile back and had painted it with white gesso and then was stuck. So when this challenge came up I thought it would be the perfect time to try some new techniques.

I used Outer Space Aqua Magical and Jack in the Pulpit Teal to lay a base coat of color on my S.

Once my layer was dry, I applied some Tim Holtz tissue paper around my S and then applied some crackle past for texture. Once that layer dried, I added another layer of color with Jack the Pulpit Teal along with Tibetan Poppy Teal Magical.

I created some flowers, butterfly, and some decorative pieces using FInnabar molds and applied a layer of gesso onto them. I then added some Magicals in Bodacious Blush, Canadian Bacon Blush, and Bodacious Blush onto all my pieces once they were glued down.

Once my base color was dry on molds, I used Pretty in Pink Magical and Snowy Tundra Sunset to add some shading to my molds. I also added some Finnabar Art Stones for additional texture.

I added some more shading on the edges of the S with Jack the Pulpit Teal

This was such a fun project and I loved getting my feet wet with a 3D project. I can’t wait to experiment more with molds and Lindy’s Magicals and Sprays.
