Visible Image Journal Beach Layout

Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your summer. I’m enjoying a little more time in my craft room and playing in my recycled journal with another summer scene using Visible Image.

For today’s journal spread, I’m working in the same recycled magazine as this post. I first spread a light layer of gesso on the pages to cover the text and pictures. I then used the Dina Wakley Media Sprays in Sand and Ocean and spread the acrylic on my pages with a brayer.

Once this layer was dry, I used some more Dina Wakley spray in Night and spread it for my water.

I then used the Visible Image Sandy Feet stencil with some texture paste I blended with Walnut Stain to create footprints and the sentiment.

After my paste was dry, I used the Visible Image Ride the Waves stamp set and stamped some waves using Versafine Claire in Medieval Blue and Warm Breeze. I also stamped the boats, surfer, and birds with Versafine Claire Nocturn ink.

I used embossing ink with the waves stamp and heat embossed it with Sparkling Sand to give the sand closer to the ocean a different texture.

I took my white gel pen and black Stablio pencil to create highlights and shadows on my pages.

To finish my page, I added an additional sentiment from the Ride the Waves set and white heat embossed it.
