Joy Clair Lucky I Have Coffee

Happy Wednesday and I hope your week is going well! I’m over on the Joy Clair Blog with the Coffee Mood Digital Set for a big coffee card.

Details

To create this card, I used Word to open and resize the the Coffee Mood Digital Set file. Digital files are awesome because you can enlarge or shrink them to fit any type of card. For this card, I wanted to a venti coffee (similar to the ones I need every morning lol). I enlarged the cup to fit on a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card base and inserted this awesome sentiment on the cup. Actually, I think I need this sentiment on a real cup as it may help me in the mornings to deal with my cute but rambunctious preschool class haha. I printed the image with my Brother printer on Bristol Smooth card stock and fussy cut it out. 

I used my watercolor markers to color the image up and once it was dry, I took a WOW! Embossing pen to trace over the sentiment and side of the cup to heat emboss it with WOW! Oiled Slate.

I created the background using Distress Oxide Reinkers on a craft mat with photo paper. I love this technique and it always makes a fun and vibrant background.
