Joy Clair Speckled Eggs

Happy Thursday! I hope you are all doing well and are having a great week.  I’m over on the Joy Clair Bloge playing the the digital background stamp called Speckled Egg .

Details

To create this card, I used Word to open and resize the the Speckled Egg file. I enlarged the eggs to fit on a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card base and printed the digital stamp image and sentiment from the Bunny Tails digital set with my Brother printer on Bristol Smooth card stock.  I used Ken Oliver Colorburst Pigment Powders on my craft mat with a little water to smoosh the color onto my background.

I took a black pen to outline the eggs and used colored pencils to add shadows to the eggs that were in the background. I wanted to keep the speckled look and added white gel pen to highlight the speckles that were previously dark. I used a die to cut the sentiment out as well and propped it up with foam tape and added a yellow and blue glitter paper behind it.

I love this background for a fun Easter card and can’t wait to use it again in different colors.
