Flower Challenge Shades of Purple

Happy March! It’s a new month which means its time for a new challenge. This month its about:

Here is my card for the challenge.

I love these beautiful Bees in Bloom set and printed them out to fit my 5 1/2 by 8 card. I colored up the blooms with Copic markers in the following purples” V04, V05, V06, V09, and V28.

After I finished coloring the images (during the cold Texas Snow Storm) I started to shade around the flower in blue pencil. I added some beautiful WOW! Embossing in Persian Indigo and Halo on the sentiment.

I forgot our challenge was about shades of purple, must of been the frozen brain lol, so I then decided to fussy cut around the flower. This was my first version of the card.

I wasn’t happy with the background, and so instead made an alcohol ink background on Yupo paper with some gold for added interest.
