Two Ways to Use WOW! Fab Foils

 I hope you are having a great weekend! I’m over on the WOW! Embossing blog with a Christmas card using Fab Foils two different ways. 

I love the shiny look Fab Foils add to any projects. I started out making the gnome die cut from Simon Says Stamp. Since it was a die cut, I used a wide double sided tape on white cardstock and added my Fab Foil in Dark Blue and Pink on top.

I ran the die cut through my machine and it cut perfectly.

I then added the white pieces of cardstock to my gnome and added a little pencil work on the gnome for fun details.

For my background, I blended Distress Oxides in several greens onto white cardstock.

I then stamped my Hero Art Tree background with WOW! Embossing ink and heat embossed it with Bonding Powder. I ran it through my Minc machine, or you can use a laminator, with Copper Fab Foil to bond it to the foil.

A lesson learned – make sure your laminator or Minc isn’t too hot because it will smoosh the detail of your embossing too much. I still love the look and kept it for my fun shiny background. It really is hard to photograph the magnificent shine of these foils.
