Winter Foil Card

Happy Sunday! I’m over on the Crackerbox & Suy Stamp blog with a winter snowflake card I made as part of a collaboration with Rinea who makes beautiful foils. 

For my card today I used the Rinea Ghost Ink and stamped the Snowflake Background on the foil. I heat set the ink and then used a paper towel that I had sprayed isoprobe alcohol on and wiped off the snowflakes to reveal a silver background. I carefully tore the corners of the foil to give it a more distressed look.

I noticed that the snowflake stamp had the ink from the foil, and used it to stamp on white cardstock.  I stamped the Coffee Cup Heart and clear heat embossed it on the paper to coordinate it with my background.

I used the same technique on for the sentiment and added a small bow.
