Musical Butterfly

Happy Friday! I hope you are all doing well. I’m over on the Crackerbox & Suzy Stamp blog with a Butterfly Music card using Distress Oxides blending.

I’ve realized looking at my past cards I’ve been focusing on butterflies. I love this one because it has gorgeous details both on the butterfly and the music notes.

I started off by masking my paper with Post-It tape and then used the Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Peacock Feather. I used a blender brush to blend the inks until I was happy with the look.

I added some water drops to the background and lifted them up with a paper towel. I love the way this looks and the added interest it adds to ink blending.

 Once my ink was dry, I stamped the butterfly and the Just the Way you Are sentiment in Versafine ink and clear heat embossed them.

I finished my card with a couple of gems for added sparkle. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!
