PaperArtsy Butterfly Play with Foil

Happy Friday! I’m over on the Topflight stamps blog with a couple of projects I made using the PaperArtsy Tracy Scott 39 stamp.

I love this beautiful butterfly and the added bonus of the flowers.

I started by using a couple of background I had made here using a gel press and Distress Oxides. I then used the Heidi Swapp MINC Toner Ink and a brayer to apply it to my stamp. Tim Holtz has a bunch of awesome MINC hacks you can find here.

I used the Heidi Swapp Pink Rainbow Foil and ran it through my MINC machine or you can also use a laminator. I absolutly love the gorgeous detail I was able to get with the toner ink.

I used the sentiment from the PaperArtsy JOFY73 to finish this card.

So another awesome result of foil is the leftover piece you get once it is done. It was gorgeous and I just couldn’t trash it, so I made another card.

I used another Tim Holtz hack, and sprayed my background with Distress Resist spray and let it dry. Once it was dry, I took my leftover foil and ran it through the MINC as well to get another beautiful card.

I finished it with a sentiment from the PaperArtsy Tracy Scott 28 set.

I couldn’t stop playing with this beautiful butterfly, so I used another background I had created with the Dina Wak

I also created a large tag with a background I had made last week with Dina Wakley Media Gloss Sprays.

I used the WOW! Embossing Trio Gemstone by Tracy Scott for my butterfly and cut it out. I attached it with foam tape and finished the tag with a “Happy Birthday” sentiment from Visible Image.
