Happy Friday! I’m over on the Topflight Stamps blog today as part of the 2020 Spring | Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I’m so excited to take part in one of my favorite events. For me, this blog hop is a combination of two of my favorite things, crafting and coffee (still waiting for the wine and crafting blog hop but I guess that could get dangerous lol.)

For my cards I used the cup from the PaperArtsy Scrapcosy 13 and along with backgrounds made with my gel press.
The PaperArtsy Scrapcosy13 set works for both coffee and tea drinkers.
The gel press is such a fun way to create interesting and unique backgrounds. For my first card I used acrylic paints on the gel press for a bright summery look.
I randomly added paint to the gel press to make a fun bright print. I stamped the image on a sheet of plastic and heat embossed it in white.
To attach the plastic sheet to my background, I used thie fun heart washi tape.
For my second card, I used Distress Oxides on my gel plate to create a vintage look.
I applied Frayed Burlap and Peacock Feather on the the gel plate and used a brayer to spread the ink around. I spritzed a little water on the the gel press and pressed the paper down.
I added the cup image with Archival Ink and then used a white gel pen to highlight some of the points on the card.
I love the look of these two Distress Oxides together along with the background writing of the stamp.
I stamped the sentiment from the PaperArtsy ETS28 set and only used the top portion.
