Monochrome Pink

Happy Friday and I can’t believe we are already half way through May. I hope you are all doing well. It’s time for the reminder post for The Flower Challenge and this month’s theme is “Monochrome”

I was inspired by Amber from Notable Ink who created the most beautiful lilies using watercolor pens. Mine aren’t as beautiful as her’s but she inspired me to try her technique with this Build A Flower set.

I started by die cutting the flowers in Bristol Smooth and then scribbling some pink shades of Zig Real Brush markers around the flowers.

I then used my MISTI to stamp the line patterns on the flowers with Altenew inks. For the center of the flowers, I used the WOW! Embossing Refill and a paint brush to add embossing ink and heat emboss it with Tanzanite powder.

For the background, I used a blending brush with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide. I took the Altenew Deco Wallpaper stencil and blended Worn Lipstick lightly on the background.

I adhered my flowers together with foam squares to add dimension and lightly bent the petals up to look higher.

I finished the card with a sentiment from the Focus on You set. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
