Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps Big Celebration

Today is the Anniversary Blog Hop for Crackerbox & Suzy Stamp. We’ve had an exciting month with lots of new stamps released and I hope that we’ve been able to inspire you as well. Thank you to all of you who have left comments along the way, I really appreciate them and they always put a smile on my face! Here is the card I made for today’s celebration. Of course I had to use a new Hydrangea stamp and I played around with the it for three different cards.

For this card I stamped the hydrangea on gray sketch paper with gray ink. I then colored up the image with my colored pencils. I started with the darkest color and coloring in the shadows. I followed that up with the middle pink color to blend it and then added an cream pencil to highlight the areas on the pedals. I repeated this step a second time on each pedal but added the lightest pink shade at the end of the end blending.

This took a bit of time and a lot of pencil sharpening but I love the details and lines I was able to add to the image. I repeated the steps with green for the leaves as well.

I stamped the One Life to Live sentiment in embossing and and white heat embossed it.

For my second card, I used Color Burts with the same hydrangea image but I used the Friends Both Hands sentiment.

I started out using the Color Bursts in Ultramarine Blue and Chartreuse on Bristol Smooth paper. I spritzed the paper with water and added just a little bit of the pigment powder. Before adding another color, make sure the first one is dry.

Once my base was dry, I stamped the Hydranga image in Versafine ink and clear heat embossed it. I wanted to add a little more shine so I painted on clear embossing powder on the flower and heat embossed it with Clear Sparkle.

For my third card, I used the same colors of Color Burst but did some purple embossing with WOW! Embossing Persian Indigo and this big bold Beautiful Amazing Friend sentiment.

I love how many ways you can use all of these stamps. Now on to our prize information.
