Mermaid Friends

Happy Tuesday and I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy. I’m over on the Crackerbox & Suzy Stamp blog today with another snarky card for you, because who can resist snarky sentiments? Also remember that all snarky sentiments on sale this month!

I love using silhouettes and this Mermaid silhouette and I thought she would be even better with a friend so I took out my Mirror Image stamp and gave her a twin. The Mirror Image stamp is a piece or red rubber that allows you to stamp the image on it and flip it to transfer it to the paper.

I then used Distress Oxides in Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch and found a stencil that would work in my stash.

I added a little Distress Embossing Glaze in Broken China on the background to give it a little shine. I still felt that my mermaids needs something more, so I took out my embossing pen and had a little fun (maybe too much lol).

I started with embossing their hair with Fairy Tale Embossing powder and then decided to add some details to their fins. I used WOW!Embossing in Something Borrowed on the left mermaid and Aventurine on the right Mermaid. I then filled in the space with the Clear Sparkle embossing.

I stamped the sentiment with WOW!Embossing ink and used the Fairy Tale for the sentiment.
