Flower Card Reminder

Happy Sunday! I hope you are all staying healthy and well. It’s time for the reminder card for The Flower Challenge and this month’s challenge is “Anything Goes.”

This month’s challenge is being sponsored by one of our Design Team members, Rachel Vass who is now designing floral images and has an Etsy store here. She has agreed to give the winner two of her digital images.

Today, I’m using Rachel’s Trio of Peony Roses Digital image. I printed the image on Bristol Smooth paper using a lighter line image.

I love these peonies and had a fun time coloring them up with my Zig Markers.

Once I was done watercoloring the images, I used colored pencils to add more details and shadowing. I also added some shading around the flowers and did some Distress Oxide blending around the edges with Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, and Hickory Smoke.

I the didn’t like the way I had colored the center of my pink flower and had a hard time fixing it. I added a little gold embossing to the centers using a paint brush with the embossing ink refill. I also decided to place the sentiment across the image to hide my mistake.

To finish the card, I added some gold sequins.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
