Flower Challenge Anything Goes

Happy March! I can’t believe how fast February went by. It’s time for another Flower Challenge and this month it is:

I started by printing the image on Copic friendly paper. I was playing around with colors and liked the way the turquoise and purple looked together.

I used the following combination on my card:

Flower – BG18, BG23, BG13, BG11, BG10

Leaves – BV17, V09, V06, V05, V04

Background – E11, E02, E1, E00

Grey Shading – C3, C1, C00

 

Once I was done coloring the flower and leaves, I used colored pencils to add shading. I love the difference it makes and the depth you get with one more step of coloring.

For the sentiment, I colored a scrap piece of paper the same colors as the leaf and then die cut it out. I added a little white gel pen to the letters and some glossy accents as well.

I then went through and added some black pen lines to the image to add a little more definition and finished off my card.
