I Can’t Hear You

Happy Hump Day. I’m over on the Crackerbox & Suzy Stamp blog today with a fun Easter card using these chocolate bunnies stamp and distress oxide reinkers.

I was using the February Monochromatic Theme in the Crackerbox & Suzy Stamp FB group. I wanted to see what kind of card I could make with browns for my chocolate bunnies. I used Distress Oxide reinkers and Bristol Smooth paper and photo paper to create these cards. After shaking the reinkers, I placed the ink on my craft mat and lightly spritzed it with water. With the Bristol smooth paper you get a caramel brown look and I stamped the bunnies with Versafine ink.

I added some texture paste to a stencil to give the card a little more texture and then outlined the images with white gel pen.

For my next card, I used the same techniques but this time with photo paper which gives the background a more vivid look after drying and wiping away the oxide.

I then stamped the images on vellum paper and white heat embossed them. I wanted the bunnies to have more color so I re-stamped them on another background I had made and fussy cut them out. I adhered them to the vellum with foam tape.

I added some Nuvo Drops around the vellum edge to complete my card.
