Birthday Tag

Happy Friday! I’m over on the Topflight Stamps Blog today with a pretty birthday tag I made for my daughter’s teacher. Her favorite colors are purple and teal so I fashioned this cute cupcake for her.

The Celebration set from Polkadoddles is so fun and whimsy with this great cupcake and a beautiful cake as well.

I started with the tag and used an old manila folder and cut it into a tag size. I sprayed Blueprint sketch and Seedless Grape Distress Oxide sprays on my craft mat with some white paint and pressed the tag into the ink. Once it was dry, I blended a little Dusty Concord Distress Ink around the edges.

I stamped the cupcake and candles on Bristol Smooth paper with Versfine ink and used the WOW Clear Sparkle embossing powder for a little extra sparkle! Then I used Zig Clean Color Brush pens to color up the cupcake.

I fussy cut out the images and then used a craft knife to cut three tiny slits in the cupcake to stick my candles through. I attached them with some foam tape and then decided to add a little more sparkle to the tag with some clear sparkle embossing of some sprinkles on the cupcake, hearts and stars around the tag.
