Shine

Happy Monday! I hope you are all doing well and had a wonderful weekend! We’ve had a couple of gloomy days so I thought I’d brighten up my craft room with this Shining Bright set from Visible Image.

I love this light bulb and thought I’d play with the Strobe stencil and creating shining rays using Distress Oxides and Distress Inks.

 

I started by blending Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Oxides on Bristol smooth paper. Then I masked the bottom of my card and pulled out my stencil and used a little Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide to darken the upper portion of the card.

I then masked the upper portion of the card and used Black Soot Distress Ink to darken the bottom half of my card base. I stamped the light bulb and gold heat embossed it as well as stamped another one that I fussy cut to attach to give the light bulb some depth.

I stamped the sentiment from the new release Night Owl and heat embossed it in gold. I love how easy it is to mix and match the Visible Image sets with each other.

I attached the bulb with some foam tape to complete and used a some Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to brighten the edges of the rays.

Its hard to see, but I also used some Spetrum Noir Sparkle pen to add a little extra shine to the bulb.
