Christmas Baubles

Happy Friday! Our weather here in Houston, TX has finally turned chilly and its feeling a little more like winter. Today, I’m over on the Topflight Stamps Blog playing with this beautiful set called Baubles from Pink Ink Design.

This set has a variety of beautiful ornaments that are perfect for any type of Christmas card.

I chose the biggest stamp in the set which is large enough to cover an A2 card.

I started by stamping the bauble in my MISTI with Versamark ink and gold heat embossing it on Bristol Smooth paper. I then used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to watercolor the image. I love to use two shades in the coloring of the ornament to get a deeper shaded image.

Once I was happy with the ornament, I decided to color the background with my black Zig marker. Side note: I could have also used a black Sharpie which might have been a bit easier since I had to layer the black to get an even look. This card from Kristina Werner’s Holiday Card Series was the inspiration for the black background. I really love how it makes the bauble pop.

I finished my card with some gold heat embossing of the sentiment and attached it to an aqua card base. I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
