Shimmerz Transformation

Happy Saturday! I’m over on the Shimmerz Paints blog today with this beautiful Transformation set from The Ton.

Since it is technically fall (we’re still waiting here in Houston Texas lol), I decided to try some more Autumn colors that I normally don’t use.

I started by stamping the butterfly on watercolor paper and gold embossing it with Brutus Monroe Gilded. Then I started painting my butterfly and flowers with Shimmerz in the following colors: 

• Wings – Ultra Marine, Bumbly Bee, and Coffee,
• Flowers – Marigold, Orange Sherbert, and Evergreen

I used the Inklings Steely Blue Eyes for the background. I watered down the Before Dawn Vibez spray and used it to give the butterfly a darker shadow.

I love how well the Marigold and Orange Sherbet blend together. Here is a better picture showing off the gorgeous shine of these products.

I finished the card with a sentiment from the same set and gold embossed it to match. By the way the sentiments in this set are great and perfect for this unique butterfly.
