Happy Monday! It’s the 15th and time for another Design Team card for The Flower Challenge. This month’s challenge is Pastels.
We also have another great prize this month sponsored by Bev at Uniko who is giving away one in stock stamp set.
We also have another Guest Designer this month, Michelle Lupton, so make sure to check out her beautiful card along with all the other gorgeous cards from the Design Team.
I love big floral images and when I saws this Botan Peony from Picket Fence, I knew I needed it. lol I started off stamping the image in Versamark ink and white heat embossing it. I like the white embossing as I find it gives the flower a softer look.
I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers in Turquoise Green 042, Green Shadow 049, and Haze Blue 302 for the flower. For the background, I used Sugared Almond 200, and Blush 069 and some Liquid Pixie dust to give it a little sparkle.
I finished the card with this beautiful scripty die from Pinkfresh. I die cut it twice and added some Pixie Dust to it as well. I also used the outline of the hello in vellum but it blends into the background a bit.
I couldn’t stop with just one flower so I stamped a second and used Color Bursts to make a quick birthday card. I used brighter colors so it really doesn’t meet the Pastel color pallet but I wanted to include it here.
For this card, I stamped the flower on watercolor paper in Versmark ink and heat embossed it in Platnium. I then used Napes Yellow and sprinkled it lightly (a little goes a long way) and spritzed it with water. I let that layer dry and then added the Rouge the same way.
I always love the varied look the Color Bursts add to any project. Once it was dry I used another Pinkfresh die and die cut it twice. For the top die cut, I heat embossed it in the same Platinum embossing powder by dabbing the die on my Versamark ink pad and then sprinkling the embossing powder on top. I did this twice to ensure a nice even coverage of the embossing powder.
I added the same vellum background to the die and used my Xyron to give it a sticker backing to I could adhere it easily to the card. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week! Don’t forget to stop by The Flower Challenge and check out the beautiful cards.

Your coloring on that peony is gorgeous, Ericka, and I love the pink background. And then there’s that card using Brushos. I don’t think I have enough control of mine to do this but your card is spectacular.
