Baby Cards with Hero Arts Ombre Inks

Happy Friday! I’m over on the Topflight Stamps blog with some quick cards I made using some fun Hero Arts Ombre inks and Darkroom Door stamps.

There are so many ways to use these beautiful Ombre Inks but for these cards I decided just to swipe the pad on the paper. I love the not so perfect stripes it created and its the perfect background for this fun baby stamp. I started by using the Hero Arts Meadow Pad and swiped it on Bristol Smooth paper. I then waited for the ink to dry and stamped the background stamp with Versamark ink and white heat embossed it. Special Note: Make sure your ink is really dry, I messed up on a couple of card when the embossing powder stuck on everything.

I made a couple more cards swiping some more Hero Arts Ombre Inks. For this card I used the Light Purple to Grape Purple Pad. and heat embossed it with WOW Metallic Perfect Plum for a more tone on tone look.

I also used the Hero Arts Mermaid pad with the Darkroom Door Part of You stamp and Emerald Creek Deep Sea embossing powder. The colors are so fun to play with.

And for my last card, I simply used the stamp and inked it up with the ombre ink for a pretty clean and simple card. I used my Misti and so was able to stamp over the ink with Versmark ink and clear heat emboss it to give it some shine.
